Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 15, 2026
PDF Compressor is designed for on-device PDF compression, PDF signing, PDF merging, JPEG-to-PDF export, and PDF-to-JPEG export. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Document Processing
PDF Compressor processes selected PDF files and JPEG images locally on your device. Your documents and images are not uploaded to PDF Compressor servers, and PDF Compressor does not operate a document-processing backend.
The app only works with files and images you choose through Apple’s file picker and photo picker interfaces. You can manage or revoke photo library permissions in iOS Settings at any time.
Data We Do Not Collect
PDF Compressor does not create user accounts and does not intentionally collect:
- Your PDFs, JPEG images, signatures, or exported files
- Your file library or photo library contents beyond items you select
- Your name, email address, phone number, or precise location
- Advertising identifiers for tracking
Local App Data
PDF Compressor may store app preferences and recent import history on your device so the app can remember settings and show recent activity. This information stays in the app’s local storage and is removed when you delete the app, subject to normal iOS behavior.
Typed signature names, drawn signatures, imported files, and generated exports are processed on device. Exported files that you save or share remain wherever you choose to store them until you delete them.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. PDF Compressor receives entitlement information needed to unlock paid features, but payment details are handled by Apple.
Diagnostics
Apple may provide developers with aggregated crash reports, performance information, and App Store analytics. These reports are used to improve reliability and do not include your selected documents or images.
Third Parties
PDF Compressor uses Apple frameworks such as Files, PhotosUI, PDFKit, CoreGraphics, UIKit, and StoreKit to provide app features. Apple processes information according to Apple’s own privacy policies.
Changes
This policy may be updated when PDF Compressor changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
